strange patch work

Happy Halloween Eve (& my birthday eve)!

Now that's out of the way, some of you might of saw this on my instagram. Well it's finished and I am sporting it today.

It was a boy's camo shirt I bought at the goodwill outlet. There was a massive hole in the shirt, so like any good guttersnipe I didn't discard it. I bought the shirt for 75 cents and found some left over fabric scraps.

Side note: I love these shoes. They make me feel like a little witch. Which is prefect timing right now.

Shoes (NYLON Grunge Challenge) $4.99
Tights (Nordstrom Rack) $4.00
Shirt (Goodwill Outlet) $0.75
Earrings (Beauty Supply Store) $3.50

I don't know if I am going out tonight but if I do I will make sure to post my Halloween Costume. But best believe I might not be posting tomorrow because it's my mother freaking birthday!!

Another reminder - It's #dreamboatTuesday on the tumblr today

instaguttersnipe: miss october

Sorry guys, no outfit tonight. It's my night off. Instead I had a lovely pre-birthday dinner with my family. Since my birthday is on Halloween, everyone is busy doing other stuff so my family usually gets together before or after Halloween to have some good old fashion birthday time. For the time being here's some instagram photos from the past month.

First up: sister x sister

(First 3 all from last night on Cap Hill "Halloween" Night)

Looking back, this has been a great (birthday) month. A lot of little adventures and very strange stories to tell later.

Umm.. what up doc?

I don't take Halloween seriously... well I do but I don't take it "serious" because it's fun! I actually like having an "outfit" not just some half ass thing. I also like to take my own spin on things. For example tonights outfit (DAY 3) Lola from Space Jam!

Jordans (duh)
Tights (Nordstrom Rack) $4.00
Shorts (Goodwill) $3.50
Jersey
Jacket (deseret industries) $1.00

Also since I will be turning 23 on Halloween it's only fitting I do a Michael Jordan inspired look. I know I am wearing the Derrick Rose Jersey but still Chicago Bulls for life!

It's only day two on my week birthday extravaganza! (self appointed title) I went out with my sister Claire and her friend Miss Caela Bailey. Here is what Caela wore:

I had to go with my spirit animal - The Unicorn. Ladies & gentleman this is what I feel like on the inside all the time.

they once called me 2 faced

My birthday is halloween. It's one week away and everyone knows you get a week to celebrate. So I of course started today. My friends and I went to The Black Snake Moan party (A VooDoo Blues type show) at the Unicorn on Cap Hill. I thought people were dressing up, well at least WE did. I played it safe. Well, half played it safe.

Meet La Rosa. Make up by yours truly.

Always a massive fan of photobooth pictures.

red bull

I am getting ready for some big things. Birthday is right around the corner. Just excited for what the future has to offer.

Also reminder that it's #dreamboatTuesday on the tumblr.

Shoes (Shoe Dazzle) $30.00
Pants (hand-me-down)
T-shirt (35th & North) $25.00*
Sweater/Cardigan (Goodwill) $4.75
Beetle Necklace (H&M) $12.00

*Anyone who nows me knows I am big Chicago Bulls fan. If you know me really well you know I am a BIGGER Derrick Rose fan.

I was walking by 35th & North (which is on Capitol Hill) and saw this shirt hanging in the window. I bought it on site. $25.00 for a shirt might sound steep but my thing is tha 35th & North sells a lot of local independent brands which is dope. This shirt being from a brand called G.A.J. And 35th & North being a local business is a plus. I strongly believe in supporting local business.

So yeah $25.00 was worth every penny.
