Nada

Last night was a moment I've been waiting since high school - The Veronica Mars Movie! You have no idea how obsessed I was with this show in high school. Veronica is a modern day Nancy Drew who hella sass. How could I not love it?

Either way - saw it last night. God! I hope there is a 2nd one. And yes. I made posters.

My shirt is a DIY. I bought this awesome fabric awhile back (working on a dress) but for the time being I just cut a patched and sewed it to a tee shirt. Simple.

I love this fabric because it reminds me of the Prada 2014 Spring Collection. Meaning I made a cheap fashionable up bet. Go figure!

I usually don't care about my socks, meaning they never really match. However lately I've been using them to my fashion advantage. My boyfriend got me there great leopard print stance socks. Can't help but rock them with pride.

DIY: Jean Jacket Back Patch

 photo DSC_0019_zps4d4fed4b.jpg

Found myself in my sewing room again. Boy, it felt good!

I forget how much I love sewing. It's very relaxing. Also like being able to post my work on Instagram and getting feedback. But the best feeling is getting to share cool DIY projects with you guys! Like this one.

Jean Jacket Back Patches - You of course can spend $50-100 on a jacket like this at places like Top Shop or Nasty Gal OR you can make one yourself for less than $15

1. Find a great inexpensive jean jacket with a single panel back. It's easier to cut and sew with. This jacket was $4.50 found at deseret industries.

2. Cut the back panel out.

3. Use the back panel you just cut out to get the ideal shape for the patch you'll be sewing in the back. When cutting, leave yourself some room for sewing a seam. Give yourself about half an inch of extra space.

(Side note- I found this great fabric at Stitches on Cap Hill. It was $7.99 a yard. Best part about this DIY you can use any pattern)

4. Pin the patch in places.

5. Take your time and being to sew. Remember to remove the pins!

6. Best for last - Wear & Share!

Ta-da! There it is. It's truly that easy. I am already working on a new design for my boyfriend. New jean jacket and a whole new fabric type. This DIY is interchangeable and really all about making it your own.

DIY: Camo Jean Jacket

Camo is the trend this fall and I ain't mad about it. I of course love the tom boy aspect of camo so I am all for it.

I saw this wonderful jacket on topshop online:

Fell in love with it. But of course NOT the price (£70.00 which is roughly $110.00) So I thought like a true guttersnipe "I can make that." And I did.

The directions are very similar to those with my jean jacket sweater. Whenever I wear that jacket I get questions all that time on where I got it. And when I tell people I made it they give me this look like I told them Alexander Wang personally made it for it.

It's very easy people.

Just got to make time for it.

Supplies:
Sewing Supplies (Machine or if by hand needle and thread)
Extra Pins
a Camo Jacket
a Jean Shirt
Scissors
Patches (or studs)

First. Cut out the jean shelves. Do not cut on the seam give yourself space to sew with.

Second. Cut off the camo shelves. Cut on the other side of the seam, using it as a cutting edge.

Third. Turning both inside out, pin the jean shelves to what is not a camo vest.

MAKE Sure you line the top of the shirt with the top and the bottom with the bottom. Like so...

After you done pinning it look something like this...

Sixth. Being to sew. Sew in the other side of the camo seam that way you thread blends better. Or if you have a heavy duty needle like I do, sew on the seam. (But make sure NOT to break your needle.)

Seventh. You can add your studs like the topshop shirt, but I personally had these crazy patches I've collected over time and wanted to use those instead.

Follow the directions for each patch and iron them on.

Eigth. My favorite step; Wear it!!

Oh yeah! The jean shirt coast me $2.50 (Goodwill) and the Camouflage jacket was a whooping $5.00 from the Army Surplus Store.
