I am learning to embrace the heel. And but "heel" I mean my boots I got from Target and that's pretty much the only heel I've ever liked. Anyways - I am learning to embrace the heel, I forget how much I love my kicks. My sneakers.

   

They will forever be my true love.

The LA countdown is for real right now. It's kind of wild actually. I am "packing" and by packing I mean staring at my clothes thinking they will magical put themselves in my suitcase and boxes. A girl can dream.

 

Tip - I have the upper part of my ear pierced (I don't know what's it call - my bad) and I've been using these fun studs I got from H&M. They are in shapes of triangles, squares, and ovals. Everyone thinks it's a cuff and really likes it. So try it out for yourself.

There is a nightclub here in Seattle called Q. It's a wild nightclub. One that should be in a movie. My friend Gabby loves this place, I however, am indifferent about it.

Don't get me wrong. I love clubs. More importantly I love dancing. However - although this club has the best DJs that come through it's the people that I can't stand. Do guys really think girls are here just for them. I mean truly and honesty all I came to do was once thing - to dance!

  

I don't drink, so no I don't want a drink. And I don't smoke, so no I don't want to smoke with you. I just want to dance. So Gabby dragged me out to see a DJ called Moon Boots (yeah, I thought it was a made up name too). Great DJ, now a fan of his work, but I shortly had to dip because well... people were getting annoying. Till then though, I was having a blast!

 

I've also been playing around with lipstick lately. Usually I don't wear it in the summer but always make sure to make it a fall accessory.

falling days

Last night was the last night of summer for me and my friends. Some went back to school and the others started new jobs. So we made the best of last night. First, went to see two of my favorite bands in Seattle, The Flavr Blue and Fly Moon Royalty, and without even trying ended up being in music video.

Now... I can't wait for fall! I just don't know how to dress for summer. I don't like to show too much skin and being as pale as I am, summer is no friend to my skin. I love fall.

  

However, moving to LA I got to get use to summer. Or start liking how to dress like a true Cali girl.

 

I've been wearing these boots a lot lately. I love my sneakers but heels do amazing things to the legs.

I fell in love with these polka dots high waisted jeans again. I got them almost a year ago but they truly are the best Spring item I have. So last year, but whatever. Like I've ever cared about that.

   

Fashion Little Tip: Tie your shirt in a tie to add it a little something special. Turns any run of the mill t-shirt into something fun again. Also play around with tucking in shirt in the back or the front or the sides.

Spring is here! I am always so uninspired by Spring fashion. Especially being in Seattle you never know if a bright sun day will turn ugly. So it's kind of dress for any occasion or situation.

My phone was stolen. Which sucks. I am trying to stay positive. I am staying positive. It's hard because people who take other people's phones or other people's stuff are jerks. Sorry, no excuses. Just plain and simple. You take something that isn't yours = you are an ass hole.

Well so much for being positive! But whatever. I stand behind it.

Either way - I am not letting a silly derailment like that bring me down. A crazy storm yesterday in Seattle has brought along some great sunshine in it's wake. Not to mention the days are beginning to get long.

Took a break from wearing my boyfriend ZARA jeans. Poor things needed a break. Remembered I have other great pants. Not to mention this comfy sweater that I am pretty sure I've only wore like once before.

the last 13th

Hey! Remember me? Ten days later...

I am caught up in the holiday rush. Shopping, working, christmas tree decorating, eating, sleeping, movies, eating again. I also haven't been able to style any posts because of it. But I am back. (For now)

I can believe this year is over because this felt like a year. A whole full 365. It didn't go by too fast, it didn't go by too slow, it just went by. I am of course super nostalgic this time of year (who isn't) however ready for a new chapter, a new year, a new season. The cold snap in Seattle is over but it's still bitter outside.

   

It being the last Friday 13th of the year I am, of course, celebrating it with Beyonce's new album. That's right, Beyonce dropped an album out of NOWHERE. Well, because she can. Because her name markets itself, the internet exists, and then her dedicated fans do that rest. I'm not a die hard Beyonce fan but I do like her! I really love the idea of her fandom. How serious people are about her. It's amazing, overwhelming, and mesmerizing. Plus the album is really good and there's a music video for every song. So for who is a massive visual person, I am loving it!

Fun fact - besides waiting to be on SNL I want to make music videos.

 

Anyway, I still need to be a 3 year anniversary post of this blog. Maybe I'll tie it in with all my highlights of the year. We'll see. I also need to do a Christmas List! Give you guys ideas for that special someone in your life.
