Audrey, of course

Although I love my baggy jeans and sneakers Audrey Hepburn will forever and always be my fashion icon. She should be everyone's fashion icon. She's timeless, graceful, and truly made the little black dress what it is today. You may think I am giving her too much credit, but honey, honestly, I am not.

This is a rare photo of an outfit I forgot to post (a.k.a before I ran away from the inter web and social media) Channeling Audrey the only way I know how too.

egg whites//neon nails

Got my nails done today! My friend MJ hooked it up, so best believe I feel pretty damn fancy.

On another note though, if you too want to get your nails done or just want to hang out, grab a drink, chill, meet some cool new people you should come to the event Seattle social event "Top Coat" at Trichome in the International Distract tomorrow evening. There will be drinks, nail polish, and music.

Fun little fashion tip - I took my scarf that I wore in my head the other day and tied it onto my purse. It just a tiny cute detail to help spruce up any bag you might have.

I am just filled with tips today! Another thing is simple DIYs can make any t-shirt fashionable. Rolling the shelves, the way you tuck it in, a statement piece necklace, or cutting it into a crop top. If you've been following this blog you know I am a big supporter of taking a plain shirt and giving it a make-over.

hiccup

 photo IMG_6235_zps57bcde1d.jpg  photo IMG_6237_zpsd8fc0ed5.jpg

I believe I am happening what I'm calling is a fashion "hiccup." I use to think that spring fashion was uninspiring but now I am beginning to believe it's summer where I find the most difficult when getting dressed. The whole "less is more" approach. I am of layers and piling it on.

I not big on wearing very revealing clothing (no booty shorts, or super super tight dresses, or low cut shirts. If you can do it - all power to you!)

I am someone who is slightly self conscious about my body at times. Still learning to love my curves and shape, as we all learn to do at some point. Also Summer is not a forgiving season because I am also so pale.

As a of a result of all of this I've realize I don't put as much effort into my outfits and don't find them that interesting or fashionable. So like I said - a hiccup. But alas, this will all pass. And this evening, I felt happy with my look. Happy enough that I'm even posting it.

Had the pleasure of attending  a garden birthday party this evening.

been about a minute or so

Been gone. If you haven't noticed. Working, writing, not working, not writing. Blogging and of course not blogging.

 photo IMG_6157_zps527ef7f6.jpg

I stay better up to date on twitter and Instagram if you are wondering what I have been up too. As spring begins to swine down summer is just waiting to get started! I headed to Sasquatch this past weekend with my boyfriend and friends. I saw Outkast! You have no idea how much their music means too me. My first rap album ever was Outkast and to see them live was life changing. No for real - LIFE CHANGING!

They have such spirit and swagger and have the best energy.

I also caught Haim, MIA, Chance The Rapper, Tyler the Creator, Neko Case, of course my friends in Fly Moon Royalty, Flavr Blue and of course Mary Lambert. A jam packed weekend of sun, fun, camping and music. But between you and me, once it was done I was over it. I am not a camper or someone who roughs it well. I just don't.

It was fun while it lasted.

all day you say.

A day of strange weather but good news.

For example - my favorite play/musical is coming to Seattle: Passing Strange. I am a nerd of musicals but Passing Strange more than a musical. It's so epic!

Excuse my nerd moment on to the fashion. Just purchased this Adidas crop top. Got it for full price $32 but I haven't been doing any wild shopping (besides shoes... but those don't count!) so I wanted to treat myself.

Not to mention - I got a new job! Hey Oh!

My friend MJ does this awesome nail event at her job called #TopCoat (check out the hashtag on instagram) She did my nails on Friday night so they look pretty good for surviving a weekend with me.
