two days in a row

Yo. It ain't even fall yet but I can't stop wearing this jacket from H&M. Best $10 I ever spent. And as always: my first says it all. I am fucking unicorn!

The LA move is approaching quickly. And all honesty - I can't wait. I love this city but I need to get away from it to truly love it even more.

But of course - Happy Friday y'all! I hope you enjoyed your night and if not, no worries, you still have Saturday.

Bought yet another pair of shoes. But hey! I don't drink. So all the money I save from not buying drinks I deserve a new pair of shoes. Logic!

Last night was a moment I've been waiting since high school - The Veronica Mars Movie! You have no idea how obsessed I was with this show in high school. Veronica is a modern day Nancy Drew who hella sass. How could I not love it?

Either way - saw it last night. God! I hope there is a 2nd one. And yes. I made posters.

My shirt is a DIY. I bought this awesome fabric awhile back (working on a dress) but for the time being I just cut a patched and sewed it to a tee shirt. Simple.

I love this fabric because it reminds me of the Prada 2014 Spring Collection. Meaning I made a cheap fashionable up bet. Go figure!

I usually don't care about my socks, meaning they never really match. However lately I've been using them to my fashion advantage. My boyfriend got me there great leopard print stance socks. Can't help but rock them with pride.

if it was any simpler

It's freezing.

 photo IMG_3908_zps5d7b11d6.jpg

It's almost snowing here. Which I am not too excited about because Seattle shuts down if it even snows less than an inch.

For the time being I've been working like crazy. Most def forgetting about personal time and self care. I am trying to get better with that. My self care includes wearing sweats, eating chocolate, and watching HBO's VEEP.

More importantly it's Christmas time! Which I love. Makes me happy to remember it's the most wonderful time of the year. Cheesy. I know.

Now more MORE importantly this blog is 3 years old! I missed the anniversary because of how busy I got with the Thanksgiving weekend but I will be writing up a be-lated birthday post soon.

Style Update - I've been loving Lorde for awhile now. She's not just a talented artist but a mother freaking beast all round. I love how simple and easy her style is. It's that "I didn't try but I did try" vibe.

When all else fails: Keep it simple.

After a very hectic week it's nice to take it easy by not getting too fancy with my outfit. I still have to work today but it's fun work. (I get to go shopping at thrift stores for movie props. I mean really... I was born to do stuff like that.)

Now the thing about fashion is that it doesn't always have to flashy, loud, and out there. It can be simple. For example: the little black dress, flats, skinny black jeans, the "Rebel Without a Cause" white t-shirt, etc.

My biggest fashion tip is when you wake up in the morning and you've tried on everything and I mean EVERYTHING. Stop, breathe and keep it classic. I believe your closet is telling you to just put on a t-shirt and jeans or a oversize sweater and leggings.

You don't have to be a shop stopper every day. Sometimes being simple is the prefect show stopper. Try it out.

PLUS: You can always jazz it up with jewelry and accessories

boots - (Melrose Trading Post) $35.00
pants - (Nordstrom Rack) $12.00
oversize sweater (Target) $6.00
scarf - (Goodwill Outlet) $0.25

Simple Rosie

To be honest, I love "simple" fashion. (Other things in my life, I can get a little more complex.) Of course I love avant-garde and like to dress a little wild every once in awhile. But I personal think my favorite outfits are the ones where I just throw it on, made it work. Fashion is a form of express, a way to explain who you are without having to say anything, it's wearable art.

With that said sometimes the best outfits are simple ones.

Black Flats - (Target) $8.00
Jeans - (Goodwill) $6.00
Belt - (H&M) $4.00
Tank Top - (H&M) $4.00
Cardigan - (Freebie)
Necklace - (Target) $1.99
Bandana - (Dollar Store) $1.00

I feel like (the sober) Amy Winehouse meets a little sassy Rosie Riveter. I person LOVE 1950's fashion so I was kind of aiming for that, with an modern twist of course. Now some music...
