Any true reader who has been with me since the jump remembers this logo! I was cleaning my room and going through old notebooks and stumbled across this baby. The guttersnipe OG logo. I do miss it at times.

 

Everyone in Seattle is getting so ready for the big game this Sunday. I am working that day but have no fear! That is a good thing. The Seahawks always win when I don't watch the game. Go Hawks!

So like I said before I've been cleaning my room. Moving things around and trying to figure out a new arrangement of everything. Which is hard because I get really into then find something to distract me, like my old notebooks, get lost in those and end up watching a law & order SVU marathon. I need to work on being more productive. Ugh.

I have cleaned my closet out, repurposed a lot of items, and find some good stuff to steal. I also have been really big on candles. Who knows.

In the fashion life - I've talked about "street ninja" this fashion trend of wearing all black. I've discovered I can't do it. However I've been finding myself wearing a lot of the same shade. This is my take on a lot of grey aka gray aka silver. Or whatever. 

I am liking this idea. Stick to one color and make it work. Boom! Fashion.

Peace vs C.R.E.A.M.

I've never really been a plant person. With a name like Rose, you would think otherwise. Wrong.

I usually kill them sadly. Over water them, under water them, don't give them enough light, this, that, knock them over. Anyways - the point is I got one as a gift for christmas (an actually cool gift!) It's a peace plant. Best part - they really don't need that much care. A little sunlight, water like every 3 days, and they give off oxygen.

  

Well, I am in love with this little thing. I even named her - Mame. ("I am your planty Mame." I am a dork. I realize this.)

  

Lately I've been trying to save up money, harder than I think. But! I am not giving up. Every penny counts and it helps that I am truly trying to spend less.

As the philosophers of Wu Tang once said "Cash rules everything around me // C.R.E.A.M. // Get the money // dollar dollar bill y'all."

Damn. Ain't that the truth.

I got this scarf as a freebie as a trade for some blog writing I did. I fucking love it. The colors go ideal with my timberlands. It's like dirty Rose Gold - and you guys know how much I've been loving that shade lately.

 

The scar is original from Nasty Gal. Since it's so graphic I thought it would go great with my KESH shirt from American Apparel.

anti cool ain't cool

Life Updates - I got a new phone. Thank goodness. I of course didn't "need" a new phone (#FirstWorldProblems) but I was lucky enough to get one. My last phone had a spider screen, could only talk to people on speaker, and for some reason would send my text messages three times or not send them at all.

Just purchased Rookie: Year Book Two.

Now I will admit - I was not the biggest fan of Tavi for the longest time. I think most of it came from a place of jealousy or the fact that I didn't understand her whole message right away. But once her and her friends started Rookie I jumped on the band wagon.

I find it to be a fun read and a great research book for young girls. I don't agree with everything they prompt but believe they do more good than bad.

  

 

I can't wear just black. I tried. I think I might be the only person in the world who can't pull it off. Or maybe, just maybe, I am not cool enough. Or maybe, which is mostly likely the reason, I can't because I need just a pop of color to make me feel at ease.

Sorry "Street Ninjas*" of the world. I can't.

*Street Ninja - People who are in the fashion scene or game; only wear black. Who only wear black. Who can pull off only wearing black.
