5. Oversized gray sweaters

I've been craving these lately. Gray is one of my favorite colors (hard to believe) and the oversized look is not just trending but also ideal for even the coldest of winters. Layer up!

4. "Street Ninja" Style
Black is the new black. It's not a new idea or anything but it's most def the "cool thing." I've never been worried about being cool let alone looking cool HOWEVER wearing all black is an ideal resort when you truly feel like you have NOTHING to wear. I described it on my twitter as so:

3. HAIM
They have been my favorite new band in awhile. Been bumping their CD for sometime now and doesn't get old. Best way to describe their music as so:

Most frequently compared to Fleetwood Mac, HAIM's sound has been described as "nu-folk-meets-nineties-R&B"[3] and "music that sounds like it was written on a lakeside retreat attended by Stevie Nicks, John Waite and En Vogue".

2. Thanksgiving

A holiday I think people over look (mostly because of the god awful history behind it) but for me I am thankful for it because it's a nice pause before the Christmas rush. Now, don't get me wrong: I LOVE Christmas! Absolutely CRAZY about it. It's my favorite time of year but come on people! Don't tired it out. Can't we just eat some turkey and 7-Up cake first?!

1. The Xbox One

Surprised? So am I.

BUT Ladies and gentleman; don't stress when your love one is too busy playing this to hang out with you. I, personally, am loving it. Don't get me wrong; I love my boyfriend. But screw ladies' night it's about to be ladies weekend!

Oh and because the boyfriend got an Xbox one I got his old Xbox 360. So truly, it's a win-win.

5. Kelly Osbourne (a.k.a. Fashion Police)

Maybe it's because I am watching Fashion Police but I love Kelly! She just gets it. She's so well spoken, smart, has great style, and over all seems like a truly down to earth person. Kelly has been in the limelight and I feel like she handles fame really well. (Also Fashion Police is just a great show.)

4. Fall

September, October and November our my months. Everyone who knows me, knows I love this time of year. I thrive and get so much more done.

3. DIYs

I got a bunch up my shelves. Just need to find the time. While you wait here's a great one on my favorite blogs "I Spy DIY"

2. Overalls

It's a new trend that you either love or hate. Being a kid of the 90s I love it. Plus every designer takes their own spin on a classic.

blah. I am hiding away for a week. Which means I shouldn't even be blogging right now. I shouldn't even be on the internet but whatever. I am going to become anti-internet tomorrow. Right now... well since it's going to be a week MIA I might as well leave you with "something."

5. Writing
Of course my first love. I will always love writing, but lately, just been on it a lot more. I forgot how much it helps and how much I truly love it.

4. Road Trips
Got one in the making that is almost done and already planning the next one. Thinking about the coast with my boo thing and then who knows. Which leads me to number 3...

3. Summer Time
More of a winter person myself but there's a beautiful strange sense of freedom in the dead heat of summer. A passionate kind of living.

Download Acid Rap right now. I mean it. Right now. I have been obsessed for awhile now and the obsession is just growing stronger. Currently my favorite rapper in the game. 

NYLON Challenge: double vision part 2

Here is part 2 of the Nylon Challenge that I posted yesterday. This NC is from the same February 2012 issue with Nina Dobrev from The Vampire Diaries on the cover.

This spread however is about the latest trend which is neon. I personally do not like neon. I have seen people who can pull it off really well. They are able to add some pop color but overall I am not the biggest fan. (To be honest, I think neon looks back in pale people like me...) However I found a lot of great items at Salvation Army that might of changed my mind.

SIDE NOTE: Most places like Salvation Army, Goodwill, and St. Vincent stores have an area that is there "fashion forward". The clothes are a bit pricey but have a lot of the latest trends. In fact, this is where I found most of the neon items in this very post.

So look out for the "fashion forward" areas next time you go shopping!

NYLON Challenge: double vision part 1

I am juggling four jobs on top of all my blog writer, so excuse my absents BUT I have a Nylon Challenge. This NC comes from the February 2012 issue with Nina Dobrev. And because The Vampire Diaries is on netflix I have been watching it. And yes, I have become a fan... It's utterly addictive!

Anywho, so this NC is again from there mass appeal where they showcased two trends in one spread for example this one was "soft whites and faded railroad." Tomorrow I will post the neon one I did as well.

SIDE NOTE:

I got photoshop so I've been playing around with it and it's been really useful for things like my Nylon Challenges but please keep in mind I am learning the basics so my outline looks completely corny and juvenile but I am still learning.
