see. through.

 photo IMG_2213_zps8edacea3.jpg photo IMG_2206_zps16ffa2a9.jpg

Oh you know, just bouncing around.

Lately I've realized having a fashion blog is more than a hobby. It oddly becomes it's a lifestyle. It becomes it's own thing. People do recognize me from this (which still catches me so off guard but I am very flattered) but having a fashion blog doesn't mean I know everything about fashion. No. I just know about my fashion.

What I like and what I don't like. It's about my personal style and how I do things. It's an interactive, live, public record of my fashion and style journey as a 20 something. A girl, a guttersnipe who loves wearable art and getting it for very cheap.

All honesty; I think everyone should have a style blog. If not a blog in general. Who cares if no one reads it or if it doesn't get big? It's something you do. It's something you like.

So; fuck it. Just do it for fun. Not fame.

busy doing something

 photo IMG_1841_zpsfd60b278.jpg

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July.

 photo IMG_1851_zpse493c7a6.jpg

I am personal not the biggest fan of fireworks. They scared me when I was little and now... well they still scare me. But that is besides the point because 4th is all about the BBQs. The 4th is also my friend Gabby's birthday! So it was very exciting.

Start out at one party, ended at another. And that's the way it goes.

Today is overcast in Seattle. Warm but with a chill. I just realized as I type that I am all about Weather Fashion. Fashion that is based on weather. You kind of have to be living in Seattle. But pretty sure I also just made that term up just now. But whatever. It sounds cool. And important.

Anyways; I am cleaning up my room and running errands so I went for a fashionable comfy.

Alright. Another one.

 photo IMG_1060_zps001a7edf.jpg

Since I have a day off I got to catch up a lot of things. Like this blog, tv, and of course my hidden love; sewing. I had a bunch of fabric laying around my room so I started making stuff.

I am actually very proud of what I was able to make.

Like this little summer top. I like working with jersey because its so easy to drape and great for summer. I kind of just sewed this in half and cut out arm holes. Just that simple.

Guttersnipe worthy.

it's better than that one thing.

 photo IMG_6707_zpsc15ed7da.jpg

There is a massive wave of nervous happening right now. It's because taking risks and going out a limb is scaring. But you have to do. So, I am doing just that. Trying new things. Seeing where it takes me.

Starting a fashion blog was a risk. You are literally putting your stuff out there for people to judge see. Bare witness to your personal fashion and lifestyle. So what would I have to fear?

A lot. Until I do it. Then it's no longer scary.

 photo IMG_6518_zps12fbd400.jpg

I can't get over how good it feels to be home. And how I love being able to see everyone I missed.

In other random news I missed someone's birthday so I went shopping at alive & well today. Grabbed them something ideal.

homecoming_longtime

Guess who's finally back on the west coast, in the 206.

It's strange to say, but I am missing the east coast already. (It's only been like a day) I mean, don't get me wrong there were moments I hated traveling but the tour and trip over all was fantastic! I had the time of my life. Stories for days, tales for weeks.

New York in Review

 photo DSC_0331_zpse802c530.jpg

It's currently 1 AM in Toronto. Mary and I are sharing an air mattress bed and typing away at our keyboards. For some reason, without even trying we are sticking to West Coast time. Or we are both just since night owls going to bed at 3 AM in anytime zone is normal.

Now, since I can't post outfits I thought I would post some pictures from our 3 days in New York. I have such a love/hate relationship with that city. This was my 5th time there and I had a blast. I could never see my self living there, but most def visiting alot.

New York - the truth is that you've just had so many lovers. I can't be one of them. You are more like a friend to me. A really really hot, smart, sassy, good looking friend...

First off here is a pictures of two lovely fans who came to me and Mary's NYC show. They had great style.

Then I took Mary to Soho and made her go to TopShop for the first time. It of course blow her mind.

Also New York makes me broke EVERY time I go. I made brilliantly bad decisions with my money, but I ain't mad!
