Your Last Days

I finally quit my job at the breakfast joint I work at. It was a fun 6 months. I loved my regulars, loved my co-workers, loved working in that silly little hole in the wall but it was time for me to leave. I always seem to end up having 4 jobs no matter what I do! So now I am down to 3. Half of the reason why I left, other half... well doesn't matter anymore.

Like I always say: "Upgrade by down grading." (And that's with jobs... nothing else)

Plus; I want to actually HAVE a summer this year. Stay out late, sleep in, and kick back. BE 22!

Absolutely loving my summer nights!

dancing business

Even though I had to be at work at 6 AM this morning, I went out dancing last night with a bunch of friends. I need to blow off some steam.

I've been stressed about work, money, boy trouble, this and that. And the only thing that makes me feel better is dancing. It's the only time my body seems to make any sense. I am a clumsy goofy person but when I am dancing it's the ONLY time I am actually graceful. And frankly my dear (when I am dancing) I just don't give a damn.

The playlist of the night was Whitney Houston's "Wanna Dance with Somebody"

and iggy azalea "murda bizness"

breakfast joint.

I have many many many jobs. Four to be exact. And one of them is a waitress at a breakfast joint. It's a lot of fun actually. I love my co-workers, free food, the regulars are really down to earth. Sometimes it does feel like being on a sitcom.

It's a funky place. Usually, I don't really dress up for it because everything I wear gets dirty, but today I thought why not. It's the first day of spring. (But you wouldn't be able to tell by this Seattle weather...)

The Female Bueller

Something about today's outfit makes me feel like a preppy 80's teen movie character. So I of course went for Ferris Bueller reference over a Claire Standish. Maybe it's because it took me FOREVER to get out of bed this morning. I did not want to go to work today. Why?

Because it's a leap day!!

Yeah. It's that exciting.

I did however go to work. I also got hired to do some work with The Blue Scholars which is exciting and had some Peco's Pit for lunch. So far, so good.

For the money.

Lolita Sunglasses

I've been telling people I am currently working 4 jobs and they look at me like I am crazy but let's be honest, I am doing it for the money. I am not trying to become crazy rich but I just want to be able to travel this summer. (On top of bills and other "adult" stuff...)

One of my jobs is a waitressing and I don't really where nice clothes. But the second I get off of work: I peel it all off.

Professional(?!)

Sorry for the lack of posts. This time of year always gets a wee bit out of hand for me. My (fairly new) job requires us to look very professional and "conservative." I usually don't dress that way but I love fashion challenges!

So this of course is my take on conservative/professional (FYI I think a High Pony Tail is very professional):

Cardigan: (Goodwill Outlet) $0.10
Shirt: (H&M) $6.00
Belt: (Salvation Army)
Necklace: (Goodwill) $1.99
Pants: (Forever 21) $25.00
Socks: (Gift)
Shoes: (Salvation Army) $1.50
Scarf: (Red Light) $0.99

Peep the socks:
Socks & hearts of course.
Also! Here is the second video for my chapbook "Strong. Female. Character." which comes out December 1st. Please enjoy!

Sweaters & Tights

Jeans & a t-shirt. Great Combo.

Sweater & tights. Great (Fall) Combo.

My new job requires for me to wear more "conservative" clothing. Just means no jeans, not to dressy, and button up collared shirts. But that means I need to do some shopping. I looked to places like Banana Republic, GAP, and Nordstrom as a references point THEN going to TJ Max, Target, and Goodwill for the actually shopping.

It also looks like I need new tights too.

tights - (gift)
jean shorts - (Goodwill) $1.50
sweater - (St. Vincent De Paul) $1.49
necklace - (Target) $1.99

Sunday Archives

The gig last night was incredible! I mean all I did was hang out, make s'mores, teach people how to cook hot dogs over a fire and dance. There was a live band and a DJ, you know just playing music in the woods. The show was sponsored by Jansport and Vice Magazine so I was able to meet some really cool and awesome people. Such a great Saturday night.

But of course, I am so tired this morning. I had to wake up to go to a dear friend's baby shower then head to my sister's place.

Now as promised here are some photos from last night's fiasco (I couldn't take many because I was working):

Now to relaxe:

shoes - (Nordstorm Rack) $25.00
pants - (that I cut into shorts from: deseret industries) $2.00
sweater - (st. vincent de paul) $3.00
belt - (H&M) $4.00
necklace - (Target) $1.99

non-stop!

It's so nice and sunny outside. However, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. My computer is my ball and chain today. I have been so busy this past week, I am glad it's almost over! THEN I can kick back, put my legs up and eat a nice cold otter pop.

Here is the newest Fashion Meets Film. It's a special one for the grands. Then catch all your movie, celeb, and TV news with this week's Film Link List.

ALSO! I just did a promo for the lovely and oh so talented Shaprece. Her EP "Scatterbrain" is dropping July 2nd. Go to the show and get her EP. This girl is going places, trust me!

NOW the outfit.

shorts - (Goodwill) $1.50
belt - (my mother's)

Time-Management

I swear as I become more and more invested in my job, I realize two things: I am becoming a workacholic at age 21 and there truly isn't enough hours in the day. I know I know, I am too young to be thinking like this. I realize that.

That's why I have this blog and my other blog. It's a way to focus on things I love and also to release some tension. The internet has become a venting machine.

But no matter how busy I become there is always time for chocolate...

Busy? Look good doing it...

Let's begin, shall we?

Today is going to be a SUPER uper busy day for me. First off woke up on the right side of the bed, another sunny day in the beautiful 206, and now off to go film a photo shoot with people who I admire and LOVE dearly. (plus free food?!?)

Can't wait!

Also today started off well because my latest article for M.I.S.S. is up. Please check out and enjoy!
