New York in Review

It's currently 1 AM in Toronto. Mary and I are sharing an air mattress bed and typing away at our keyboards. For some reason, without even trying we are sticking to West Coast time. Or we are both just since night owls going to bed at 3 AM in anytime zone is normal.

Now, since I can't post outfits I thought I would post some pictures from our 3 days in New York. I have such a love/hate relationship with that city. This was my 5th time there and I had a blast. I could never see my self living there, but most def visiting alot.

New York - the truth is that you've just had so many lovers. I can't be one of them. You are more like a friend to me. A really really hot, smart, sassy, good looking friend...

First off here is a pictures of two lovely fans who came to me and Mary's NYC show. They had great style.

Then I took Mary to Soho and made her go to TopShop for the first time. It of course blow her mind.

     

Also New York makes me broke EVERY time I go. I made brilliantly bad decisions with my money, but I ain't mad!

As you've notice: lack of posts. I've been on tour with the wicked smart, beautiful, and talented Mary Lambert "The Good Feelings Tour" to be exact. We are on the road for a month and we are our first week in. We started in Boston and currently in New York.

Tomorrow though we off to Toronto Canada. Yeah, we international. Here are some instagram pics for the time being.

As you know I am currently on tour "The Good Feelings Tour" with Mary Lambert hence the lack of posts.

Good news; this is a post.

Better news; New York City readers Mary "Same Love" Lambert and I will be performing at The Bluestockings Club in NYC on Sunday January 27th. We will be doing a bunch of smaller wild random shows while in the New York area but you do not want to miss this!

5 things I am in love with... right now

So, not only will I be gone for a month due to the fact that I will be on tour but I also broke my toe. Two reasons I will not be posting as much as I use too. Sucks! But I will try my hardest to update in as many ways as I can.

5. Cocoa Butter
I love this stuff! Great for the winter and the smell gets me every time.

4. Target Long Leg Leggings
Which I can't find ANYWHERE! I wanted to stock up with as many as I can before I leave but they are sold out everywhere. Hopefully I can get some while on the east coast.

3. Toro y Moi's Newest Album
My girl Gabby and I just bought our tickets to see him when he comes to Seattle, which I can't wait for. He is so cute and awkward and his music is ideal for any dramatic moment in your life.

2. ASAP Rocky's Newest Album
I put it on to wake me up in the morning, I put it on when I am going out, I can't stop playing it and won't stop playing. The best song: Train. At least 100 plays on my computer already.

1. Gardenias

I've always admire Billie Holiday and lately I've been loving her signature flower the gardenia. I wore one in my hair for prom once which I loved. And as christmas gift I got some great gardenia lotion, it's been treating me very well.

    

coming up for air

I've been sick these past days and I think today is the first day I actually feel better. I've been sleeping, watching netflix, downing vitamins, eating pho, and drinking peppermint (with honey) tea non-stop.

But this evening, I went out on a very lovely sushi date with my friend Robin. Then went to a poetry slam. I needed to get out of house. It was a great and easy start back into the real world.

It's that time of year where your body hates you and you become sick with whatever strange little bug is in the air. However I am not letting that get me down, in fact, the exact opposite. I am getting ready for my tour with Mary Lambert, starting a bunch new projects, writing more, working with me people AND being one of 6 new bloggers for Married To The Mob.

So yeah, I've been busy. I might be slacking on posts. But I will not forget this blog! Promise.

This year, is just going to be a great year.

    

DIY: Star Wars (keychain) Earrings

I've been doing the trick of making key chains into earrings for years! But for those you don't know, it's possible. And actually really easy.

  

Of course I am nerd so there's no question I would use these great lego Star Wars keychains of C-3PO and Chewbacca. It would of made more logically for the earrings to be C-3PO and R2-D2, but they didn't have R2-D2. But for fashion reasons the gold body of C-3PO goes well with the brown "hairy" form of Chewbacca. So bare with me.
