PDA in PDX

 photo IMG_1195_zps0c07b4d0.jpg

So I know I was at Hedgebrook for a week but I wasn't ready to go back to the real world so what did I do, well, grabbed my dude and drove to Portland. Why? Because we both needed to get out of the city. So glad we did. It was a blast! Ate some great food, did some serious shopping, slept in, laughed, and just had fun.

I said I wanted to do more random rode trips and that's just what I did.

Now being a Seattle girl, I love my city but like I just proved, I need to leave it sometimes. So if you ever go to Portland you have to check out little big burger (bomb ass food) Compound for all you sneaker street wear kids, any of their amazing vintage stores, the Nike store (and of course the outlet store!) and the place I spent most of my time and money; Powell Book Store.

I am a guttersnipe.

I am a bookworm.

And of course today was a hard day of sleeping in and going to happy hour with my girls. I know. I know. Life is good. I need to realize that.

SssssUPER!

 photo IMG_1139_zps80e99c9f.jpg photo IMG_1146_zps125130b1.jpg

Just got back home from Hedgebrook. And... Awww! It feels good. (Can't wait to go back but still good to be home.)

It's just what I needed to recollect my thoughts and get back to some serious writing. I just watched Sixteen Candles, unpacked and now watching Can't Hardly Wait. This evening I am getting ready to go host the lovely Raven Taylor's chapbook release party.

Very excited!

It's gonna be a good week. I can feel it.

5 things I am in love with... right now

blah. I am hiding away for a week. Which means I shouldn't even be blogging right now. I shouldn't even be on the internet but whatever. I am going to become anti-internet tomorrow. Right now... well since it's going to be a week MIA I might as well leave you with "something."

So yeah.

Here it is.

5. Writing
Of course my first love. I will always love writing, but lately, just been on it a lot more. I forgot how much it helps and how much I truly love it.

4. Road Trips
Got one in the making that is almost done and already planning the next one. Thinking about the coast with my boo thing and then who knows. Which leads me to number 3...

3. Summer Time
More of a winter person myself but there's a beautiful strange sense of freedom in the dead heat of summer. A passionate kind of living.

2. Drop Dead Clothing
But you already knew that...

1. Chance the rapper
Download Acid Rap right now. I mean it. Right now. I have been obsessed for awhile now and the obsession is just growing stronger. Currently my favorite rapper in the game.

Alright. Another one.

 photo IMG_1060_zps001a7edf.jpg

Since I have a day off I got to catch up a lot of things. Like this blog, tv, and of course my hidden love; sewing. I had a bunch of fabric laying around my room so I started making stuff.

I am actually very proud of what I was able to make.

Like this little summer top. I like working with jersey because its so easy to drape and great for summer. I kind of just sewed this in half and cut out arm holes. Just that simple.

Guttersnipe worthy.

catch a break

 photo IMG_1029_zps2ed0fde3.jpg

BLAH!

That's really I can say. I've been working like crazy. Started my new job, which I love, but my body and mind and personal life are still trying to get use to the new schedule. This being the 3rd week, I think I am getting a better handle on things.

That being said; a new post. Finally. This one is jam packed. I promise.

 photo IMG_0927_zpsd9dea6c6.jpg

This outfit was from a few days ago. I was hosted an event at Re-Bar that night and my fellow poet/friend was visiting so I took him to a Mobb Deep show. Because when you visit me in Seattle shit like that happens.

Once again this is another Drop Dead Clothing post. I love this line! I truly can not get enough of it. It's creepy, hip, and oh so comfy. A bit pricey but I think it's worth it in the end since their line is so original. Obsessed! Clearly.
